Welcome to the EuroPacemakers
website. You can find out more about our charity cycle challenge
and help us raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
This summer, EuroPacemakers' team of keen cyclists
will pedal from St Petersburg in Russia to Hammerfest in Norway.
Aged from 20 to 63,
the team includes company directors, a QC, an architect, a
couple of entrepreneurs, business analysts, an accountant,
an insurance underwriter and a production manager.
All give freely of their time
each year to raise money for the British Heart Foundation
and help combat the UK's biggest killer, heart disease.
All suffer in the saddle from
the heat and the mountains and the daily grind of over 100
miles.
And as they cycle the length
of one European country, their heart rate somewhere between
120 and 170 beats a minute, they really do know the value
of a healthy heart.
